Merry Christmas

Wishing everybody a happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.  Things are busy as always.  Some photos have now been added to the gallery. Hopefully it won't be long before more photos are added. 

November 2010

It's been a busy month.  The highlight for the stud was Go for Bron, which I race myself,  winning at New Plymouth on Friday November 19th.  His proposed next start is December 9th at New Plymouth.
Go for Bron (Chatham x Self Defence (Defensive Play)).

An unnamed gelding Citi Habit x Self Defence ran second at a trial in Waverley.  It was a very pleasing run.  This boy is currently for sale.  This boy is a full brother to City Super - racing in Macau.  Another full brother is entered for the Karaka Festival Sale February 2011.

The last TB foal for the season was born on the 23rd. It was a filly Monolith x Dance Party .  Although small she is a beautiful foal.  This was a clients foal.

Three foals are now safely on the ground.  All mares and foals are doing well.  The mares have been bred to the stallions again.  I have had two colts born of my own and a filly for a client.  The foals are very friendly and are sound in confirmation.  Five more mares are due to foal in the coming weeks.

UPDATE: OCTOBER 25  Four more foals have safely arrived.  One to go.

Monolith

Monolith (Danehill x Significant Moment  - half sister to Zabeel)) has had Starmon win a listed race in the Cranbourne Cup in Australia this last weekend.

Citi Habit (Citidancer x Certain Habit (half brother to Rough Habit)) has had Citi Super win twice in Macau recently.  Citi Super was home bred out of Self Defence (Defensive Play x Noblisse de Coeur).  He was sold through Christchurch Sales to the Macau owner.  Two full brothers are for sale.  One is in full work and ready for trial.  The other brother is entered for the 2011 Karaka Festival Sale.  Self Defence has been bred again this season to Citi Habit.  She has a two year old daughter by Monolith. Hopefully she will head to Australia on lease.

First Foal Born 2010

Our first foal has arrived this month.  It is a colt by Monolith out of Iced Gem (21 Years).  He's a lovely correct bay with an excellent nature.  The mare whilst an older mare gave birth with no problems and they are both doing extremely well.

It's very muddy at the moment.  Hope the weather settles before the main lot of mares foal.  Most of them are due in October.
